FAQ

FAQs -We have a handful of frequently asked questions that we wanted to share.

What do I do in case of a water or sanitary sewer emergency?

We have a 24-hour Emergency Contact Line that can be reached by calling (970) 413-1845.  Our operators will be able to assist you over the phone or if needed dispatch someone from our team to help.

Why should I provide the District with my email address and phone number?

We often need to contact customers with important information regarding their utilities. By providing us with this information we can reach out when billing issues occur, keep you in the loop if a project affects your property, and reach out during emergencies.  This is an important way for us to notify customers of important information regarding leaks, construction, outages, and share system updates.

If you would like to provide us with your email address, please send an email to david@springcanyonwsd.com

What if I’m moving into or out of the District?

To start or stop service, contact us at (970) 226-5605.  Please note that we need approximately one week notice to process the order.  If you are stopping service, we will need a forwarding address for your final bill.

Will you pick up my trash?

Although Sanitation is in our name, we do not handle trash pickup.  Our services are specific to wastewater collection and everything that goes down your drains.

When will I receive my bill?

We issue all bills between the 26th and 28th of every month. The goal behind this is to have printed bills delivered to customers by the 1st of every month, however, USPS can occasionally have delays. If you would like to receive your bill as early as possible, please reach out via email to david@springcanyonwsd.com or by phone at (970) 226-5605 and we can set you up to receive e-bills.

Where are the CIP Surcharge dollars going and when will it go away?

Currently, there is no plan to reduce or remove the CIP Surcharge in the near future. The CIP Surcharge is used for the continued rehabilitation and replacement of the District’s critical infrastructure and ensures that the ability of the District to provide clean and safe drinking water is protected and disruptions to services are minimized. Can my tenant receive the water/sewer Bill?

Tenants can receive water and sewer bills when approved by the owner. To authorize a tenant billing, property owners must complete a B-1 Authorization Form and have it notarized. These forms can be requested via email or completed and notarized free of charge in the District’s office. This process protects our customers’ private billing and prevents account specific information from being released without proper authorization. Please note that property owners are ultimately responsible for bills in the event of a tenant’s failure to pay.
